Description
Western Wall Bookmark
Considered the most sacred place in Judaism, the Western Wall is the only section remaining of the destroyed temple. After 20 years during which no Jew was permitted to visit. It’s been released from Jordanian hands during the 1967 Six Days War, and came to symbolize the enormity of the victory. Today, as in the past, it is the site of fervent prayer and the repository of supplicant notes inserted into crevices in the wall, requesting God’s favor.
